In alignment with one of its top priority goal areas – physical health and wellness – 1889 Foundation is supporting the Quemahoning Trails Phase III project with a $5,000 grant.

The funds will be used toward the design and construction of seven additional miles of trails in the almost 30-mile Quemahoning Trails Network, which are primarily designed for mountain biking.

The trails loop around the Quemahoning Reservoir.

While mountain bikers are the main users of the trails, they can also be used by runners, walkers, cross-country skiers, and snowshoers.

By helping fund this project, more safe opportunities to engage in exercise will be available to Somerset and Cambria County residents and visitors to the area who are looking for peaceful areas to recreate.
